Frequently Asked Questions

Here you will find answers about booking, getting here and your stay with us. If your question is not here, just give us a call.

Booking and payment

How do I book online?

Choose your apartment, arrival and departure dates and the number of guests, enter your details and check the total price with visitor’s tax before you send the booking. By clicking “Book now with obligation to pay” you make a binding offer, and we send you an e-mail with the button “Confirm booking with obligation to pay”. If you click it within 60 minutes, we send you the booking confirmation with all the details by e-mail, and with it the contract is concluded.

Why do I have to confirm my booking by e-mail?

Because you do not pay a deposit, the button in the e-mail protects us against bookings with false details. Until you click it, we hold the dates for you for 60 minutes. If you do not click within that time, the dates are released again and you can simply book again.

Can I pay in cash?

Yes, you pay in cash when you arrive. Unfortunately we cannot take card payments.

Do I have to pay a deposit?

No, we do not ask for a deposit. You pay the full price when you arrive.

How much does a night cost?

An apartment costs from €80 per night for 2 guests staying 4 nights or more, final cleaning included, plus visitor’s tax. The rate depends on how many of you there are and how long you stay, and the rate for the length of your stay applies to every night. Children and babies count as guests. Four guests staying 4 nights or more, for example, pay €110 per night. The full rate list is on the Rates and Booking page.

What costs are added to the rent?

Final cleaning is included in the price. A dog costs €15 per night, and the extra bed for a fifth guest €15. Before you book, you see the total price with all costs, the municipality’s visitor’s tax is shown as a separate line below it, and the last line shows the total including visitor’s tax.

Is there a minimum stay?

Yes, at least 2 nights, or at least 3 nights for arrivals in July, August or September. What counts is the day you arrive, and you can arrive on any day of the week. Stays of 2 nights or more can be booked online, and a single night only by arrangement on the phone on +49 8028 2203.

What happens if I have to cancel?

When you book a holiday apartment for fixed dates, there is no statutory right of withdrawal. What applies if you cancel is set out in our terms of stay. We therefore recommend travel cancellation insurance.

Are bed linen and towels provided?

Yes, both are included in the price. You only need to bring your personal things.

Do I need to fill in a registration form?

Yes. You fill in the registration form with us when you arrive. In it the municipality of Fischbachau asks for the name, address and date of birth of everyone travelling, so that it can register guests and charge the visitor’s tax. Guests who are not German citizens also give their nationality and their passport or ID number and sign the registration form on the day of arrival.

Holidays with children

Can children go into the cowshed?

Yes, children are welcome to come into the cowshed, together with Mum or Dad and one of us. They can help with feeding and watch the milking. Because there are large animals and machines in the cowshed, please never go in on your own.

Is there a playground at the farm?

Yes, with a big trampoline, a swing and a slide. There is also our own football pitch, a lawn with a goal, a table tennis table, table football and pedal go-karts for the children. The duty to supervise children lies with their parents or the adults they are staying with. Your stay on the farm and the use of the playground, the football pitch and the play equipment are at your own risk. This does not affect our liability under our terms of stay.

Do you have baby equipment?

Yes, there is baby equipment in all three apartments. Just let us know beforehand what you need, and we will have it ready for you.

Can we drink the milk from the farm?

You can fetch fresh milk in the morning and evening. It is raw milk, so please boil it before drinking, especially for children.

If your dog is coming

Can I bring my dog?

Yes, one dog per apartment, except in the Top-Floor Apartment, which is dog-free. State your dog when you book, online by ticking the dog box, and our booking confirmation then makes it agreed. We charge €15 per night for the dog, which then appears in the total price. If you have questions, for example which apartment suits you best, please call us beforehand.

What should I bear in mind with a dog on the farm?

There are cows and calves on the farm and on the pastures around it. On pastures your dog should be on a lead, which is also what the Bavarian agricultural offices advise. Please pick up after your dog on the meadows too, because dog droppings can carry pathogens that are dangerous for our cows. We will tell you what else applies on our farm when you arrive.

Allergies

Is the farm suitable for people with allergies?

There are no beehives on our farm. If you react to animal hair, hay or grasses, it is worth knowing that we have cows, hay and flowering meadows here and that guests may bring a dog in the Ground-Floor Apartment and the Balcony Apartment. The Top-Floor Apartment is dog-free. If you have a strong allergy, please call us before booking and we will tell you honestly whether it will work for you.
