How to register your dog

Respecting the grazing cattle

We have cows and calves on the farm, and in summer there are cattle in many of the meadows around Hundham. Cows easily see a dog as a threat to their calves, so it pays to be careful on pastures.

Please pick up after your dog, out on the meadows too. Our cows graze there, and we also make their hay from this grass. Dog droppings can carry pathogens that are dangerous for cows. Thank you for keeping this in mind.

We will tell you what applies to dogs on our farm when you arrive.

Dog walks from the farm

Easy paths start right at the farm, for example to the Leitzach river. If you want more, walk up the Schwarzenberg (1,187 m) from Hundham.

That is about 390 metres of ascent on an easy mountain path, and it takes a little over an hour to the top. You can buy drinks at the Schwarzenbergalm.

Up the Wendelstein with your dog

Dogs are allowed on both the rack railway and the cable car up the Wendelstein, for a fee per dog. Because the ride can be exciting for dogs, the Wendelsteinbahn recommends a muzzle.
