Photo Archive: The Farm, the Mountains and the Seasons

This is where we collect photos of the farm and the area around Hundham. The aerial shots, the pictures of the apartments and the photos of the farm, our cows and the countryside are our own, and some of them come from our previous website. Other photos of the region come from photographers who share them under free licences, along with a few press photos the Alpenregion Tegernsee Schliersee has allowed us to use on this website. The names appear with every image. The archive grows over time as we add more of our own pictures.

The farm

The Meisterhof has stood on the edge of Hundham since 1970. Here you can see it from above and in the snow, with our cows and at work in the meadows, along with older photos of the animals and the play area and a few rooms in the three apartments.

Hiking & mountains

You can walk up the Schwarzenberg (1,187 m) straight from the farm. The Breitenstein, the Wendelstein and the Spitzingsee area are a short drive away.

Cycling & MTB

The toll road to Valepp is part of a well-known mountain bike loop between the Tegernsee and the Spitzingsee.

Motorbiking

The roads over the Sudelfeld and past the Tatzelwurm are part of the German Alpine Road and popular with motorcyclists.

Skiing

The ski areas at Sudelfeld and Spitzingsee are a short drive from the farm, and there is also the Wendelstein with its cable car.

Cross-country skiing

When there is snow, the local council grooms a cross-country trail only about 150 m from the farm. You will find more trails at the Spitzingsee and along the Rote Valepp, for example.

Seasons & landscape

Here you can see the Leitzach valley and the nearby lakes through the year, from the spring meadows around Fischbachau to the sea of fog at the Wendelstein.
